Biography

Despite the fact that Atsuma seems to be a happy and carefree person, there is more depth to him than what he portrays. Losing his father to a car accident when he was 5 years old, Atsuma was brought up by his loving grandparents and mother. However, after the shock of the loss of her husband, Sui Minakami never recovered from her frail constitution. As Atsuma’s grandparents slowly age, he fears that he will soon lose his family and everyone that he cares for. However, Atsuma never shows any signs of fear or sorrow as he always smiles before his family and continues to support, care and aid his beloved family.

The Minakami family owns a dojo, where students go to train in the art of kendo. Being a star pupil and an instructor as well, Atsuma is a key player in the kendo team of Tsukaima High. His team mates respect him greatly for his skill and willingness to co-operate, as well as for his modest personality. Atsuma can be a very kind person, as long as one doesn't anger him in any way.

Atsuma first met Mitsuki in elementary school. Both drifting in the seas of despair, their meeting can be said to be a fated one. Ever since, the two have been the closest of friends, always supporting and relying on each other. He is one of the two administrators of Eternity, Mitsuki being the other. The bond between the two friends exceeds beyond mere words. Atsuma is a loyal and dedicated friend. Though he may be caring and understanding, his mind and soul are more complex than what the eye of the beholder sees. One should be careful to never anger Atsuma for then, only a grave future awaits thee.
